The 3 coolest things about my life right now
- That my littlest girl, Alethia, aka "Aleia", toddles tirelessly about the house, never seeming to get bored, continually asking you to give her stuff, always responding with a heartfelt "Donk-O" (her version of Thank You).
- That I ate Barbie Cereal for breakfast this morning because it's all we have in the house now and that's just how we roll.
- That my eldest daughter Kharis (4 yrs) knows that I am at home on Saturdays and Mondays, but doesn't know the order of the days yet, and so asks every single day if tomorrow is one of those days.
- That my wife is pregnant right now with another one.
- That her being pregnant means that her nose goes into some super sonic mode and gives her "super smelling power," meaning that she can smell things that most bloodhounds wouldn't even notice. Normally this would be a disadvantage for me, but the rule around our house is whoever smells the diaper first has to change it. Veronica's smelling is borderline spidey-sense (precognition), so I haven't had to change a diaper in weeks.
- That when I try to list three things that are great about my life I immediately think of 5.
OK, something perhaps a little more of substance tomorrow... I just felt really thankful this morning. I'm also grateful that there's no condemnation to those who are in Christ and I get to teach my little girls that for the rest of their lives.
Off to teach at Southern Seminary this week, which is where you go if you can't get into Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest. :) Pray for me. See you Sunday!
Oh... and this week we start our series on MY 7 DEADLY SINS. I'm naming names and pointing fingers. Be there.
JD,
Have a good time in Louisville!! We lived there a couple of years before moving to the Triangle. If you are looking for good eats, try Kashmir Indian, Ramses Cafe on the World, Lynn's Paradise Cafe (breakfast), and (if someone else is paying) Jack Fries. All are in the Bardstown Rd part of town, near Southern.

Hahaha...this comment has no real value other to say I can relate and to have pleasure in misery loves company...
"That her being pregnant means that her nose goes into some super sonic mode and gives her "super smelling power," meaning that she can smell things that most bloodhounds wouldn't even notice. "
My wife is pregnant with our second child and this statement made me laugh out loud. Every 5 minutes it's..."I think I smell something", and then I'm off to try to find the smell (which I'm wondering at the time if it actually exists) and then spraying it with bleach (because she doesn't like the smell of air freshner...go figure).
Haha...funny stuff.
