Pray for Cam Wooten

I normally don't use this blog to post prayer requests, as (being a pastor) that could consume this venue.

But I am making an exception in this case and asking you to please pray for my friend Cameron Wooten. Cameron was diagnosed with leukemia last week. This came out of nowhere--Cameron had gone in for a sore throat when they found this.

Cameron and his wife, Lyn, used to be on staff here at the Summit as interns in our student ministry while they were at SEBTS. Everybody loved them, and many of you I'm sure fondly remember them. Cameron and Lyn are expecting their first child, Myla (Hebrew: mercy) Elizabeth, this May.

Doctors are hopeful that they will be able to clear it up with an intense 3 weeks of chemotherapy that began this morning.

Most incredible through this has been Cameron and Lyn's attitude. Last night Cameron told me, "This is not my leukemia. This is GOD'S leukemia. If it is His determination that He can get more glory from us through my being sick than healthy, than I welcome it." How awesome to have and live for something that is better than anything death or sickness can take away.

Can you join me in praying for a miracle?
